Abstract

Kenakalan dan perilaku indisiplin yang dilakukan para siswa SMA kerap kali dilihat sebagai masalah dalam sebuah sekolah yang sangat menerapkan disiplin. Masalah perilaku indisiplin yang dilakukan para siswa menjadi hal penting yang harus diselesaikan, akan tetapi dalam pemecahan masalahnya seringkali menggunakan pendekatan yang kurang tepat. Metode kepemimpinan yang digunakan guru seringkali tidak relevan untuk menjawab kebutuhan siswa sehingga masalah perilaku indisiplin ini terus menerus terjadi. Melihat kondisi yang terjadi pada siswa, maka dari itu penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif bentuk studi kasus. Pendekatan studi kasus ini digunakan dalam rangka menyelidiki penyebab perilaku indisiplin siswa yang marak terjadi meskipun sudah diberikan penanganan oleh pihak sekolah. Selain itu melalui pendekatan studi kasus ini peneliti juga hendak mengusulkan strategi dan pendekatan kepemimpinan untuk menghasilkan perlakuan yang tepat bagi para pelaku indisiplin sekolah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan mengidentifikasi terlebih dahulu tahapan moral yang dimiliki para pelanggar dengan menggunakan instrumen dilema Heinz. Setelah itu juga dilakukan wawancara kepada para guru pengajar mengenai pendekatan kepemimpinan dan perlakuan yang selama ini digunakan dalam mendidik para pelanggar. Setelah mewawancarai kedua kelompok itu maka dilihat mengenai kecocokan antara tahapan berpikir yang dimiliki siswa dengan pendekatan kepemimpinan yang dilihat melalui perlakuan yang selama ini diterapkan para guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode kepemimpinan dan juga perlakuan yang digunakan para guru tidak cocok dengan hasil identifikasi tahap moral siswa. Siswa ternyata memiliki tahapan berpikir moral yang beragam sehingga guru tidak bisa memukul rata satu perlakuan untuk diberikan kepada semua siswa. Rekomendasi yang diberikan berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini bahwa guru perlu menerapkan metode kepemimpinan gembala dalam mengatasi perilaku indisiplin siswa. Hal ini dikarenakan model kepemimpinan ini memiliki unsur-unsur yang bukan hanya sekadar memampukan guru untuk mengurangi permasalahan indisiplin siswa melainkan guru dapat menjadi agen yang mengubah pola pikir siswa untuk memahami nilai-nilai kehidupan yang baik melalui pengenalan mendalam akan karakteristik siswanya. / Delinquency and indisciplinary behavior by high school students are often seen as a problem in a school that strictly implements discipline. The problem of indisciplinary behavior by students is an important thing that must be resolved, but in solving the problem, teachers often use inappropriate approaches. The leadership methods used by teachers are often irrelevant to address the needs of students so that this problem of indisciplinary behavior continues to occur. Seeing the conditions that occur in students, therefore this research was conducted using a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. This case study approach is used in order to investigate the causes of student indisciplinary behavior that is rampant even though it has been given handling by the school. In addition, through this case study approach, the researcher also wants to propose strategies and leadership approaches to produce appropriate treatment for school indiscipline offenders. This research was conducted by interviewing and identifying the moral stages of the offenders using Heinz's dilemma instrument. After that, interviews were also conducted with the teaching teachers regarding the leadership approach and treatment that had been used in educating the offenders. After interviewing the two groups, the compatibility between the students' stages of thinking and the leadership approach as seen through the teachers' treatment was examined. The results showed that the leadership method as well as the treatment used by the teachers did not match the results of the identification of students' moral stages. Students turned out to have various stages of moral thinking so that teachers could not evenly apply one treatment to all students. The recommendation given based on the results of this study is that teachers need to apply the shepherd leadership method in overcoming student indiscipline behavior. This is because this leadership model has elements that not only enable teachers to reduce student indiscipline problems but teachers can become agents who change students' mindsets to understand good life values through deep recognition of the characteristics of their students.
