Abstract
This research was conducted to answer the needs of the Santa Theresia Kindergarten in terms of the unavailability of the storybooks that contained the servite et amate values. Based on the interviews with the principal and Kindergarten teachers, there was some difficulty in teaching these values. The purpose of this study was to make a picture story book entitled: "Serve and Love" by containing examples of actions that match the values of servite et amate. A Research & Development research design was used in this study and the development model implemented in this study was the ADDIE model, which stands for the five stages of the development process, notably: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instruments used to collect the data were the interviews, observations, rubrics, validation sheets and tests. The large group pilot projects were conducted in Class B2 and Class B3 (44 children) with different treatments. The results of the data analysis were obtained from the post-test given to the children and the evaluations from the experts. The results of the evaluations from the experts show a better direction. The final assessments from the graphic design experts, the linguists earned a percentage of 100% with the "very feasible" category from content/material experts. The results of the two class trials involved were comparing and finding the differences in each item. Significant differences in the achievements can be seen in items number 4 with difference of 5.9. Items 3 and 5 get difference of 3.2. All of which have indicated that the illustrated storybook developed has a significant influence and is beneficial for the Kindergarten children. / Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi untuk menjawab kebutuhan TK Santa Theresia bahwa tidak tersedianya buku cerita yang berisi tentang nilai-nilai servite et amate. Hasil wawancara kepada kepala sekolah serta guru-guru adalah mengalami kesulitan saat mengajarkan nilai-nilai tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menciptakan buku cerita bergambar dengan judul: “Layanilah dan Cintailah” yang berisi contoh tindakan yang sesuai nilai-nilai servite et amate. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research & Development. Model pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE. ADDIE merupakan singkatan untuk lima tahap proses pengembangan, yaitu Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah wawancara, observasi, rubrik, lembar validasi dan tes. Uji coba kelompok besar dilakukan pada kelas B2 dan B3 dengan treatment yang berbeda. Hasil analisis data diperoleh dari postttest yang diberikan kepada anak dan hasil evaluasi dari para ahli. Hasil evaluasi para ahli menunjukkan ke arah yang lebih baik. Penilaian akhir dari ahli desain, ahli bahasa, dan ahli isi/materi mendapatkan persentase 100% dengan kategori “sangat layak.”. Hasil uji coba dua kelas adalah membandingkan dan menemukan nilai selisih pada tiap butir soal. Perbedaan capaian yang signifikan terlihat pada butir soal nomor 4 dengan nilai selisih 5,9. Butir soal 3 dan 5 mendapatkan nilai selisih 3,2. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa buku cerita bergambar yang dikembangkan memiliki pengaruh dan kebermanfaatan untuk anak TK.
