Abstract

Persaingan yang semakin ketat antar bisnis yang menjual produk dan servis air conditioner membuat para pelaku bisnis harus merefleksikan kembali apa saja strategi dan langkahlangkah yang digunakan untuk mencapai keunggulan bersaing. Keunggulan bersaing memiliki peranan penting dalam menentukan keberlanjutan suatu bisnis keluarga. Objek penelitian yang diteliti adalah bisnis keluarga PT. Everest Electronic, sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang penjualan produk dan servis air conditioner yang sudah hadir lebih dari 20 tahun dan sedang menghadapi tahapan proses suksesi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, melalui wawancara dan observasi lapangan dengan subjek penelitian. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian divalidasi dengan cara triangulasi sumber yaitu mengumpulkan informasi dari perspektif pemilik bisnis, karyawan dan konsumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya faktor eksternal dan faktor internal yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap keunggulan bersaing PT. Everest Electronic saat ini. Penelitian ini menghasilkan teori mini mengenai faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi pada keunggulan kompetitif dalam studi kasus: PT. Everest Electronic.
