Abstract

Suatu permasalahan yang sering terjadi pada remaja Jepang adalah rasa tidak percaya diri. Cerita novel Have a Song on Your Lips oleh Eiichi Nakata ini efektif untuk menjelaskan lingkungan hidup dan permasalahan tersebut pada remaja di Jepang zaman sekarang. Dikarenakan belum adanya media visual untuk menjelaskan school life di desa Jepang kepada orang yang tidak mengenali kehidupan daerah dan lingkungannya, Maka cerita ini sangat cocok untuk diadaptasikan menjadi concept art yang nantinya dapat dikembangkan dalam produksi trailer animasi dua dimensi hingga film animasinya. Penulis memproduksi karya tugas akhir ini dari ide adaptasi dari buku novel Have a Song on Your Lips. Karya yang akan dibuat adalah berbentuk concept art untuk karya animasi dua dimensi berupa character design, environment design, key art, dan trailer animasi pendek untuk produksi animasi dua dimensinya. Penulis tidak merancang film animasi dua dimensi itu sendiri. Pada akhir perancangan dapat diketahui bahwa rasa tidak percaya diri pada remaja Jepang dapat divisualisasikan pada konten Have a Song on Your Lips menggunakan prinsip-prinsip desain. / A problem that often occurs in Japanese teenagers is insecurity. The story of the Have a Song on Your Lips by Eiichi Nakata is effective in explaining the environment and problems in adolescents in current Japan. Due to the absence of visual media to explain school life in Japanese villages to people who do not recognize regional life and the environment, this story is very suitable to be adapted into concept art which can later be developed in the production of two-dimensional animation trailers to the animation films. The author produces this final project from the adaptation idea from the book novel “Have a Song on Your Lips”. The work to be made is in the form of concept art for two-dimensional animation works in the form of character design, environment design, key art, and short animated trailers for the production of two-dimensional animation. The author did not design the two-dimensional animated film itself. At the end of the design it can be seen that the lack of confidence in Japanese teenagers can be visualized in the “Have a Song on Your Lips” content using design principles.
