Abstract

As the development of the economy in Indonesia, Franchise business in Indonesia is increasing. The rapid developments in the business Franchise is certainly can not be separated from legal protection that established by the Government of Indonesia on Franchising. One of the actions of governments to regulate the business Franchise, with the issuance of Government Regulation No. 42 of 2007 About Franchising and strengthened by the Minister of Trade Regulation No. 31/M-DAG/PER/8/2008 About Franchise Operation, which was then replaced by Minister of Trade No. 53/M-DAG/PER/8/2012 About Operation Franchise. Referring to the rules of the government of Indonesia is currently the Franchise business, we know that in running a Franchise business, we are required to have a Certificate of Registration Franchise (STPW). But, until now there are still many businessman that do not have a Franchise Registration Certificate (STPW) to run their businesses. The clarity of the necessity of Franchise businesses have Franchise Registration Certificate (STPW), in fact, inversely proportional to the field. In this legal research, the writer will investigate the relationship problems of ownership Franchise Registration Certificate (STPW) with the applicable law in Indonesia. The result of this legal research is expected to provide a solution to the problems existing law
