Abstract

Public Relations dibutuhkan dalam setiap aspek kehidupan karena Public Relations mengangkat masalah yang dibutuhkan hampir berkaitan dengan isu-isu keadilan sosial, lingkungan, agama, dan pemerintah. Public Relations bekerja seperti sebuah jembatan penghubung antara instansi dengan publik. Oleh karena itu Public Relations dibutuhkan pada sistem pemerintah sebagai jembatan komunikasi antara pemerintah dengan publik. Salah satu aktivitas Public Relations dapat ditemukan di KJRI Perth. Selain melayani WNI, aktivitas Public Relations dapat membantu membangun citra positif KJRI di Perth dalam menjaga hubungan dengan Australia. Ada sembilan fungsi Public Relations yaitu : hubungan internal, publisitas, advertising, press agentry, public affairs, lobbying, manajemen isu, hubungan investor, pengembangan, dan empat peran dari Public Relations yaitu : communication technician, expert prescriber, communication facilitator, problem solving facilitator. Dari kesembilan fungsi Public Relations, KJRI Perth menjalankan enam fungsi, yaitu : hubungan internal, publisitas, advertising, public affairs, manajemen isu, dan hubungan investor dan empat peran Public Relations. Dari aktivitas yang sudah dilakukan oleh KJRI Perth, sudah berhasil meningkatkan citra positif./ Public Relations needed in every aspect of life because Public Relations raises the problem that it needs almost in relation to issues of social justice, the environment, religion, and government. Public Relations works like a bridge between the institutions and the public. Therefore Public Relations is needed on the government system as a communication bridge between the government and the public. One of the Public Relations activities can be found at the KJRI Perth. In addition to serving Indonesian citizens, Public Relations activities can help build a positive image of the KJRI in Perth in keeping with Australia. There are nine Public Relations functions are: internal relations, publicity, advertising, press agentry, Public Affairs, lobbying, issue management, investor relations, development, and four roles of Public Relations namely: Communication technician, expert Prescriber, communication Facilitator, problem solving facilitator. Of the ninth Public Relations function, the KJRI Perth runs six functions, namely: internal relations, publicity, advertising, Public Affairs, issue management, and investor relations and four Public Relations roles. From the activity that has been done by KJRI Perth, has managed to improve the positive image.
