Perancangan dan implementasi teknologi wireless pada infrastruktur jaringan workshop laser cutting dan digital printing = Design and implementation of wireless technology to network architecture of a laser cutting and digital printing workshop.
Bachelor thesis, Universitas Pelita Harapan.
Abstract
Laser cutting and digital printing owner works intensively with the customer’s data whose need cutting and / or printing service. A workshop, call it X, which is run in similar business using a wired USB connection as a data transmission. In addition, workshop X also has not utilized a network to connect each computer. Consequently when the PC wants to access data residing in other PC, the only way to move data is to use a portable storage medium such as a USB flash disk. Moreover, another matter is a lack of computer access using
customer’s flash disk. To overcome the current problems in workshop X, wireless technology (wireless) has adopted to optimize the wireless function of the router as a print
server and file server. Implementation is expected to speed up the production process as well as facilitate workshop X which would shorten the production process and improve the whole system performance. Based on the three scenarios testing, it shows that the function of the wireless router as a print server, file server and access point went well. With the
functioning of the router as a print server, then access to a laser cutting machine and printing can be done through more than one computer. Similarly, the functioning file server that allows access flash drive connected to the router by more than one computer on a local network there.
