Abstract

Gastroenteritis merupakan penyebab utama kematian anak didunia. Salah satu faktor timbulnya diare dilihat dari tingkat pendidikan ibu yang berkaitan dengan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku ibu, sehingga gastroenteritis memerlukan perhatian yang menjadi dasar pengetahuan ibu dalam meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan motivasi intrinsik ibu dalam perawatan anak gastroenteritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan korelasional kuantitatif di Siloam Hospital pada bulan Desember 2011. Tehnik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan tehnik accidental sampling dan didapatkan 32 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner yang dan sudah dilakukan uji validitas dan reabilitas dengan hasil cronbach alpha tingkat pengetahuan 0,929 dan motivasi intrinsik 0,954. Data yang diperoleh diolah dengan uji signifikasi dengan spearman rank. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan rho hitung 0,374, rho tabel 0,364. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan motivasi intrinsik ibu dalam perawatan anak gastroenteritis. Rekomendasi: Sebagai data awal untuk penelitian selanjutnya tentang pengaruh lamanya hari rawat dalam merawat anak dengan gastroenteritis./ Gastroenteritis is a major cause of child mortality in the world. One of the onset of diarrhea seen from maternal education levels are related to the knowledge attitudes and behavior of mothers, so that gastroenteritis requiring attention is a basis of knowledge in improving maternal health problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation the level knowledge with intrinsik motivation of mothers in child care gastroenteritis. This study used a correlational kuantitatif at Siloam Hospital Lippo Village in December 2011. Sampling techniques with accidental sampling and obtained 32 respondents. The data was collected by spreading questionnaires and had tested the validity and reliability of the result cronbach knowledge level of intrinsik motivation 0,929 and 0,954. The data obtained were processed with the spearman rank test of significan from the calculated results obtained rho 0,374 rho table 0,364. We conclude that there is a correlation between the level of knowledge on the intrinsic motivation of mother in child care gastroenteritis. Recommendation : as the initial data for further research on the influence of the length of day care in treating children with gastroenteritis
