Abstract

Remaja yang sedang berada pada tahap pencarian identitas diri cenderung rentan jatuh dalam kenakalan remaja. oleh karena itu dibutuhkan konsep diri yang positif untuk membantu remaja membentuk identitas diri yang baik pula. Religiositas dianggap dapat membantu pembentukan konsep diri yang lebih positif pada diri remaja karena dapat membantu remaja lebih memaknai hidup, dan juga dapat membuat remaja merasakan adanya penerimaan dari sosok transenden maupun komunitas keagamaannya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh religiositas terhadap konsep diri remaja Kristen di Tangerang. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang dilakukan pada 132 siswa SMA Negri di Tangerang. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah T4BDRS (α=.938) dan TSCS (α=.938). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh yang signifikan sebanyak 18.9% antara religiositas terhadap konsep diri (R2 =.189, p < .05). Artinya semakin tinggi religiositas seseorang maka semakin baik pula konsep diri pada dirinya. / Adolescents who are at the stage of searching for self-identity tend to be vulnerable to falling into juvenile delinquency. Therefore, a positive self concept is needed to be able to help adolescents form a good self-identity as well. Religiosity is considered to be able to help the formation of more positive self-concept in adolescents because it can help adolescents to interpret life positively, look at themselves and others more positively and also can make adolescents feel the acceptance from transcendent figures and from their religious communities. Therefore, research is conducted to determine then effect of religiosity toward self-concept of Christian adolescents in Tangerang. this research uses quantitative method with purposive sampling technique which conducted to 132 high school students who attend public schools in Tangerang. The measuring instruments used in this research is TFBDRS (α=.938) and TSCS (α=.938). The result of this research shows a significant effect for 18.9% between religiosity toward self-concept (R2 =.189, p < .05). That means that the higher a person’s religiosity, the better his self-concept.
