Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan wilayah rawan gempa. Catatan kerugian karena kerusakan bangunan akibat gempa menekankan bahwa diperlukan dilakukannya penelitian terkait respons struktur bangunan terhadap gempa. Salah satu metode penelitian yang dapat digunakan adalah dengan metode eksperimental menggunakan shake table. Namun, pada dasarnya shake table yang komprehensif memiliki sistem aktuasi linear yang terdiri dari komponen yang rumit dan mahal. Pada penelitian sebelumnya, Program Studi Teknik Sipil Universitas Pelita Harapan telah dibuat sebuah shake table sederhana yang memiliki mekanisme slider-crank. Meskipun memiliki biaya konstruksi yang rendah, shake table sederhana tersebut dinilai tidak mampu menyimulasikan kondisi gempa dengan baik. Oleh karena itu dilakukan perancangan shake table dengan sistem aktuasi linear yang berbeda, yaitu menggunakan motor stepper. Dengan mekanisme pergerakan diskrit yang dimiliki motor stepper, sistem aktuasi linear dapat beroperasi dengan akurat namun menggunakan komponen yang lebih sedikit dan sederhana dibandingkan dengan sistem aktuasi linear shake table pada umumnya. Keberhasilan penelitian ditentukan oleh kemampuan shake table untuk menyimulasikan kondisi gempa dengan baik. Kemampuan tersebut diukur berdasarkan akurasi output variabel shake table, di mana akurasi yang di maksud adalah besar perbedaan antara variabel output dengan variabel input. Adapun variabel yang dimaksud adalah perpindahan, kecepatan, dan percepatan. Pelaksanaan pengujian meliputi penyimulasian beberapa time history gempa, yaitu El Centro (1940), Kobe (1995), dan Loma Prieta (1989). Penyimulasian gempa dilakukan dengan skala yang ditentukan berdasarkan kapasitas maksimum shake table. Sehingga juga dilakukan pengujian kapasitas maksimum untuk mengetahui kecepatan, percepatan, dan rentang frekuensi maksimum yang dapat dilakukan shake table. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, disimpulkan bahwa shake table dengan sistem aktuasi linear menggunakan motor stepper mampu menyimulasikan kondisi gempa dengan cukup baik./ Indonesia is a country with earthquake-prone region. The record of losses due to damage to buildings caused by the earthquake emphasize the importance of doing research related to the response of building structures against earthquakes One research method that can be used is the experimental method using a shake table. However, basically a comprehensive shake table has a linear actuation system consisting of components that are complicated and relatively expensive. In a previous study, Pelita Harapan University's Civil Engineering has created a simple shake table that has a slider-crank mechanism. Although these studies have low construction costs, a simple shake table is judged to be able to simulate earthquake conditions quite well. Hence then the design shake table with different linear actuation system, using stepper motors. With discrete movement mechanism owned stepper motor, linear actuation systems can operate accurately but uses fewer components and simpler compared to the shake table linear actuation system in general. The success of the research is determined by the ability to shake the table to simulate earthquake conditions well. The ability is measured based on the accuracy of the output variable shake table, where accuracy in the mean is a big difference between the output variables to input variables. The variables in question is displacement, velocity, and acceleration. Implementation of testing include simulated earthquake some time history, namely El Centro (1940), Kobe (1995), and the Loma Prieta (1989). Earthquake simulation conducted at a scale determined based on the maximum capacity shake tables. So also do maximum capacity testing to determine the velocity, acceleration, and maximum frequency range to do a shake table. Based on test results, it was concluded that the shake table with linear actuation system uses a stepper motor can simulate earthquake conditions quite well.
