Abstract

Plagiarism is one that resolves copyrights. This phenomenon is found in the fields of music and song art. Plagiarism is considered common about music and song copyright works are valuable assets for the owner of the copyrighted work. Therefore the music in the field of music and songs is a work of art that is not limited and has its own value. Music and song is one form of protected creation. Therefore, existing creations in the music industry encourage the music industry to develop day by day. Quality creation will make the music industry in Indonesia grow. However, to date there are no clear and strict rules regarding plagiarism. Thus the authors conduct research to find out how to regulate the law and how to make music and song works can be approved as plagiarism. Because there is no regulation on plagiarism in Law No. 28 of 2014 concerning copyright The results of the study can conclude that to regulate the law is still biased and not yet clearly regulated. And there has been no agreement by the guests of the country to be able to determine the standard of plagiarism for a song and music. Legal remedies that can be done for now are through mediation, because until now there has not been a case of song and music plagiarism reaching the court. There are also requirements that need to be re-analyzed to determine whether a song and music work can be approved by plagiarism, such as for example discussing the characteristics of the song, the same melody tones Played with different chords, notations or scores that can be enlarged by competent experts.
