Abstract

Padatnya aktivitas dan rutinitas keseharian manusia mengakibatkan manusia menjadi jenuh dan tidak produktif dalam menjalani kesehariannya. Selain itu, keterbatasan waktu dan tempat hiburan membuat manusia tidak dapat berlibur dan merasa relaks kembali. Dengan berlibur, manusia dapat merasakan berbagai pengalaman yang tidak dapat dirasakan dalam rutinitas kesehariannya. Pengalaman manusia sendiri terbentuk dari berbagai sensasi yang berkesan pada indera manusia sehingga membentuk memori. Setiap tempat dapat memberikan memori dan pengalaman yang berbeda-beda bagi setiap individu. Manusia cenderung untuk menyukai tempat yang dapat memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman sehingga mereka cenderung kepada tempat asal mereka lahir. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sebuah tempat berkumpul bagi sekelompok orang perantauan Pematang Siantar untuk berkumpul dan merasakan sensasi seakan berada di kota asal mereka, dengan begitu diharapkan tempat ini dapat menjadi alternatif bagi mereka untuk berlibur dan merasa relaks kembali. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara dengan pengunjung. Hasil implementasi perancangan tempat ini dilakukan dengan menyesuaikan peran indera dengan aktivitas manusia berdasarkan pengalaman mereka terhadap kampung halaman mereka. / Dense people daily activities or routines could result to tedious and unproductive human behavior. Moreover, limited time and limited choice of places to relax also could create limitations for people to go on vacation and to feel relax. While by going on vacation, people will have the chance to experience something they could not get on daily basis and hopefully they could feel relax for a little bit of time. The experience itself formed from all kind of sensation that lead to creating a memory inside our brain, which came from all different places. Human basic instinct is to favor places that could give a sense of secure and comfort, that is why human tend to seek for their hometown. Therefore, the aim of this study is to make a gathering place for nomads from Siantar who currently living in Jakarta, so they can gather and feel the sensation as if they are living in their hometown and also as alternatives for them to feel relax again. Data gathering process that will be use are observation and interviewing the nomads. The design implementation of this place is done through sensory adjustment with human activity based on their experience towards their own hometown.
