Abstract

In industrial world, every manufacture company aims to produce high quality product by using resources efficiently. One method which can be used is lean product by using resources efficiently. One method which can be used is lean there are seven types of industrial waste. Considering the importance of seven deadly waste in lean manufacturing, its needed to develop the effective learning module. One of the idea was by designing an interesting and educational game as a tool of learning method so that the students of Industrial Engineering study programs could easily to understand the seven deadly waste on lean manufacturing. The game development process starts from the planning stage (study of literature on case studies in 5 companies and initial planning game conscepts), concept development, content design and physical design that assessed by questionnaire, prototype testing with 14 respondents, and repair. To find out the outcome of the game, a measuring instrument was made in the form of a pre-test and a post-test. And then the last step is making a final game. The conclusion of this report is that the educational game, the Seven Muda Game, has been successfully created and has increasing the players knowledge from mean scores 8.43 to 77.29 from scale 0-100, the result for the user interface is 4.41 and 4.71 for the essence of the game from scale 1 (strongly disagree ) – 5 (strongly agree).
