Abstract

The environment is a place where living things lies. Health is one of the primary needs of human beings. That being said, human beings and other living things require a clean and healthy environment for the sake of better living in the future. Therefore, the state regulates on laws and regulations regarding environmental law as well as health law. A hospital is one of the places which shall be considered in terms of the health and cleanliness of its environment, one of which is in regard to the waste management factor, specifically on hazardous and toxic material waste, considering the fact that the hospital waste or hazardous and toxic material waste highly impacts the comfort and cleanliness of the surrounding environment of the said hospital. Therefore, there are procedures and regulations in terms of the hospital waste management. To evaluate whether the environmental management within the said hospital has been conducted properly and correctly in accordance to the applicable regulations, since by that matter the hospital will be held responsible in terms of waste management and whether it has or has not been conducted accordingly. Hospitals do not only rely on waste management alone, but there are also several parties which participate in the said waste management, since it requires full awareness to exercise the hospital responsibility on managing the waste. Also therefore, the regional government from which the hospital is domiciled shall increase the evaluation on the waste management technique of the said hospital, whether it has complied or rather, whether it violates the regulation of a healthy and clean environment.
