Abstract
Akhir-akhir ini, fenomena kesepian terjadi pada kalangan anak muda. Studi-studi sebelumnya menemukan bahwa social and emotional loneliness dapat terjadi karena kurang terpenuhinya kebutuhan seseorang. Adapun kurang terpenuhinya kebutuhan seseorang ini diduga berkaitan dengan dating anxiety. Oleh karena itu, studi ini ditujukan untuk melihat apakah ada hubungan yang signifikan antara dating anxiety dan social and emotional loneliness pada emerging adulthood. Partisipan yang menjadi subjek pada penelitian ini adalah 102 orang yang berstatus single. Penelitian dilakukan secara kuantitatif dan menggunakan alat ukur Dating Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (DAS-A) serta Short Version of Social and Emotional Loneliness Scale for Adults (SELSA-S) yang telah diadaptasi ke dalam bahasa Indonesia.
