Abstract

Proses penyeleksian calon penerima beasiswa olahraga cabang bola basket di Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) yang dikelola oleh Sport Department UPH masih tergolong subjektif. Hal ini terbukti karena penilaian selama ini hanya berdasarkan observasi yang diperoleh saat tryout. Tim bola basket Universitas Pelita Harapan atau yang biasa disebut UPH Eagles telah menjuarai Liga Mahasiswa berturut-turut dalam 4 tahun terakhir, yaitu pada tahun 2015, 2016, 2017, dan 2018. Setiap tahunnya jumlah calon student-athelete diprediksi akan semakin meningkat. Hal ini menyebabkan proses penyeleksian beasiswa atlet di UPH akan mengalami masalah yaitu semakin ketatnya proses penyeleksian. Untuk menghasilkan penerima beasiswa yang sesuai dengan yang diinginkan maka diperlukan analisa penilaian untuk memperoleh data tersebut. Penerapan aplikasi perangkingan penerima beasiswa berbasis web dan metode AHP diharapkan menjadi solusi untuk mempermudah proses penyeleksian untuk penerima beasiswa. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan hasil analisis berupa informasi berdasarkan data yang diperoleh sehingga memberikan kemudahan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat membuat sebuah sistem informasi yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas student-athlete di UPH terutama pada cabang olahraga bola basket agar mendapatkan pemain yang terbaik setiap tahunnya. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan menggunakan metode rapid application development prototyping. Hasil dari penelitian adalah aplikasi perangkingan penerima beasiswa UPH Eagles yang berbasis website yang dapat mendata dan menganalisa proses penyeleksian calon student-athlete yang terdapat dalam Sport Department UPH yang dibuat dengan menggunakan PHP dan basis data MySQL. / The process of selecting candidates for sports scholarship at the basketball branch in Pelita Harapan University (UPH), which is managed by UPH Sport Department, is still relatively subjective. This is evident because the assessment so far is only based on observations obtained during the tryout. Pelita Harapan University basketball team or commonly called UPH Eagles has won consecutive national level of Liga Mahasiswa in the last 4 years, in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. The number of student-athelete candidates is predicted increasing every year. Which causes the selection process for athletic scholarships at UPH may have problems, tightening the selection process. To produce desired scholarship recipients, an assessment analysis is needed to obtain the data. The application of the web-based scholarship recipient application and AHP method is expected to be a solution to facilitate the selection process for scholarship recipients. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide the results of the analysis in the form of information based on the data obtained so as to provide convenience in the decision making process. This research is also expected to create an information system that can improve the quality of student-athlete at UPH especially in basketball, to get the best players every year. This study was made using rapid application development prototyping method. The results of the study are the ranking application of UPH Eagles scholarship recipients web-based which is able analyze the process of selecting student-athlete candidates contained in the UPH Sport Department created using PHP and MySQL databases.
