Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan jaman, kebutuhan terhadap tempat ketiga atau third place menjadi penting. Tempat ketiga yang tadinya berada di tempat tertutup seperti kafe, toko buku, dan salon, mulai mengalami pergeseran tempat mengarah ke tempat yang terbuka, seperti ruang taman kota. Namun, ruang taman kota yang sering ditemui cenderung kurang memiliki identitas tersendiri. Hal tersebut dapat disebabkan karena kurangnya kualitas sensori dari atmosfer yang dapat memberikan kenyamanan dan “sense of belonging“ terhadap suatu tempat. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat digunakan dalam upaya pembentukan atomosfer secara visual, melalui penggunaan warna. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat seberapa besar pengaruh warna dalam pembentukan atmosfer serta mencari sokusi yang optimal dalam menciptakan tempat ketiga yang memiliki identitas yang kuat dengan cara memanfaatkan warna dalam desain atmosfer. Metode yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa studi literatur dan observasi. Studi literatur dilakukan untuk memahami relasi antara warna dengan atmosfer dan identitas, serta kriteria yang dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kualitas relasi tersebut. Sedangkan observasi dilakukan untuk menguji keseluruhan kesimpulan studi literatur. Berdasarkan dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa warna mempengaruhi atmosfer ruang dalam pembentukan identitas tempat ketiga yang dapat diterapkan dalam elemen horizontal dan vertikal arsitektural. Warna mempengaruhi atmosfer ruang karena indra menangkap kualitas visual dan memproses memori yang telah dimiliki sebelumnya. Parameter dari warna yang dapat digunakan adalah berdasarkan tempat ketiga yang terdiri dari elemen boundary, hierarchy, accessibility, material, dan ambience, serta parameter dari warna adalah hue, saturation dan brightness. Penerapan konsep warna dalam desain arsitektur adalah dari hubungan warna mengenai identitas dari perancangan stand out antara konteks dengan projek dan warna blend in terhadap ruang antar perancangan. / Nowadays, third place becomes significant for human need. The third place that usually indoors, in a café, bookstore, and salon, began to shift to an open space or outdoors, such as urban park. However, urban park that are often encountered tend to lack identity to differ. This can be caused due to lacking of sensory quality from the atmosphere that can provide a sense of comfort or belonging to a place. One of the sensory qualities that are often used in designing the atmosphere is visual sensory, such as colors. However, right now, color being less sensitive to consider in designing process. This research was conducted to see influence the color in the atmosphere, creating third place which has a strong identity. The methods used are qualitative methods, in form of literature studies and observations. Literature studies were conducted to understand the relationship among color, atmosphere, and identity, as well the character that can be used as standard to measure the quality of these relations. While, observations were conducted to test the literature study that has been done. In conclusion, color influences atmosphere in creating third place identity that applied in horizontal and vertical elements of architecture. Color affects the atmosphere because senses capture visual quality and processing memory that has been owned. The parameters of the colors that used based on third place are boundary, hierarchy, accessibility, material, and ambience. Also, parameters of color are hue, saturation, and brightness. Stand out colors were used for distinction between project and context, while blend in colors were for in between spaces.
