Abstract

Banjir adalah permasalahan yang umum ditemukan di daerah perkotaan seperti Jakarta. Umumnya terjadi oleh karena pengembangan besar-besaran di perkotaan menggunakan permukaan kedap air seperti aspal. Sehingga tanpa penyimpanan air hujan alami seperti pohon yang layak, banjir menjadi salah satu musibah yang paling umum dijumpai di daerah perkotaan. Ruang publik umumnya memiliki elemen penghijauan dan fitur air yang dapat digunakan untuk beraktivitas dan bersosialisasi. Sehingga dapat diteliti bagaimana perancangan ruang publik dapat beradaptasi dengan banjir. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan mencari kajian teori dan preseden mengenai ruang publik yang digunakan untuk menanggapi banjir. Kemudian dicari faktor-faktor utama dari banjir di daerah Grogol Petamburan, Jakarta Barat yang dipilih sebagai tapak oleh karena besarnya kerugian ekonomi yang terjadi oleh karena banjir di lokasi tersebut. Kemudian dibuat parameter keberhasilan menggunakan perhitungan volume air hujan yang akan ditampung di dalam ruang publik yang dibangun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ruang publik dapat digunakan sebagai solusi adaptasi banjir. Namun bencana banjir tidak dapat ditebak dengan akurat kapan datangnya dan jumlahnya. Secara makro diperlukan perancangan sistem pengelolaan air hujan dengan sistem harvest, store, convey, dan infiltrate. Secara mikro diperlukan struktur-struktur penangkapan air hujan, penyerapan air hujan dengan penghijauan, dan platform mengambang. / Flooding is a common problem found in urban areas such as Jakarta. This usually occurs due to large-scale developments in urban areas using impermeable surfaces such as asphalt. Without infiltration of natural rainwater using landscaping, flooding became one of the most common disasters found in cities. Public spaces generally uses green elements and water features which can be used for social activities. These are the reasons of why investigating about how the design of a recreation public space can adapt to flooding is important. This research begins by searching for already existing theoretical studies and precedents regarding public spaces used to respond on flooding. Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta was chosen as the site because of the large economic loss due to flooding which happened in early January 2020. Then the parameters of successful design are made by using the estimated calculation of the inundation volume which needs to be accommodated in the public space. The results show that public space can be used as a flood adaptation solution in cities. Macro needed the design of rainwater management systems by doing harvest, store, convey, and infiltrate. Micro-structures are needed for catching rainwater, absorption of rainwater using greenery, and floating platforms.
