Abstract

Material serat daun nanas merupakan jenis serat tumbuhan yang ramah lingkungan, dihasilkan dari limbah daun tanaman nanas. Tanaman nanas sendiri merupakan salah satu komoditas buah unggulan Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, tanaman nanas banyak dibudidayakan, terutama di Pulau Jawa dan Sumatera. Kota Subang menjadi penghasil buah nanas terbesar di Jawa Barat dan menghasilkan limbah daun nanas yang sangat banyak. Namun, pengolahan limbah tersebut belum diolah secara optimal. Bahkan masih banyak masyarakat di Indonesia yang belum mengetahui adanya serat tumbuhan yang berasal dari daun nanas. Berdasarkan karakteristik yang dimiliki serat daun nanas, inovasi ini merupakan peluang yang besar untuk dikembangkan pada perkembangan gaya hidup masa kini. Penulis akan memanfaatkan material serat daun nanas untuk dikembangkan menjadi sebuah produk tas wanita kontemporer dengan gaya yang mengikuti tren 2020, dengan teknik produksi yaitu teknik tenun. Pengembangan produk ini ditujukkan bagi wanita berusia 20-35 tahun yang memiliki kepedulian terhadap lingkungan dan cinta akan produk lokal. = Pineapple leaf fiber material is a kind of environmentally friendly plant fibers, resulting from the waste of the leaves of pineapple plants. The pineapple plant itself is one of Indonesia's flagship fruit commodities. Therefore, the pineapple plants are widely cultivated, especially in the island of Java and Sumatra. The city of Subang became the largest producer of pineapple fruit in West Java and produced a lot of pineapple leaf waste. However, the treatment of waste has not been processed optimally. There are still many people in Indonesia who do not know of any plant fibers derived from pineapple leaves. Based on the characteristics that the pineapple leaf fibers have, this innovation is a great opportunity to develop on the development of today's lifestyle. The author will utilize pineapple leaf fiber material to be developed into a contemporary ladies bag product with a style that follows the 2020 trend, with the production technique of weaving technique. The development of this product is for women aged 20-35 years who have a concern for the environment and love for local products.
