Abstract

Taman bermain merupakan kriteria utama lingkungan ideal bagi setiap area kawasan perumahan. Hunian yang baik memiliki ruang terbuka yang memadai bagi seluruh penduduk dan menyediakan sarana-sarana khusus yang dibutuhkan oleh penduduk sekitar. Permasalahan yang banyak terjadi di kawasan perumahan adalah pemanfaatan ruang taman bermain kurang diolah dengan baik seiring dengan perkembangan kebutuhan penduduk terutama generasi z. Kurangnya optimalisasi fungsi taman bermain pada kawasan perumahan menyebabkan ketertinggalan fungsi taman bermain sebagai ruang sosial yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan studi pemanfaatan ruang taman bermain di kawasan perumahan dengan menerapkan karakteristik lingkungan generasi z dan parameter desain kualitas lingkungan taman bermain. Data-data yang dikumpulkan dalam studi literatur dibuktikan dan dipelajari lebih lanjut dalam studi kasus pada salah satu lingkungan perumahan. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan 5 karakteristik lingkungan generasi z yang diantaranya adalah fleksibilitas, keaslian, pilihan, integrasi dan kenyamanan dengan masing-masing kualitas lingkungan dan parameternya. Hasil analisis ini berupa pemanfaatan ruang taman bermain yang dikelompokkan berdasarkan bentuk-bentuk ruang sosial generasi z pada objek dari studi kasus. Hasil penelitian ini menjabarkan bentuk-bentuk ruang sosial generasi z pada objek studi taman bermain. Adanya produksi ruang sosial di taman bermain dipengaruhi oleh ketersediaan ruang taman bermain sebagai sarana yang mengundang terjadinya interaksi sosial. Keragaman bentuk ruang sosial tercipta seiring dengan meningkatnya intensi kunjungan generasi z yang dipengaruhi oleh perancangan pemanfaatan ruang taman bermain berdasarkan karakteristik lingkungan generasi z. Ruang taman bermain memiliki banyak potensi untuk memproduksi ruang sosial generasi z. / Playgrounds are the main criteria of an ideal environment for each residential area. An appropriate residential has adequate open space for the entire residents and provides special facilities needed by the surrounding residents. The problem that often occurs in residential areas is the use of playground space that is not processed correctly along with the development of residents' needs, especially generation z. The lack of optimizing the function of the playground in the residential area causes the playground function to lag as a sustainable social space. This research is conducted with a study of the use of playground space in residential areas by applying the characteristics of the generation z environment and design parameters of the playground environment quality. The data collected in the literature study is proven and studied further in a case study in one of the residential neighborhoods. The analysis was carried out based on five characteristics of generation z environment including flexibility, authenticity, choice, integration, and convenience with each environmental quality and its parameters. The results of this analysis include the use of playground spaces, which are grouped based on the forms of social space for generation z on the object of the case study. The results of this study describe the forms of social space for generation z in the object of the study of playgrounds. The availability of playground spaces influences the existence of the production of social spaces in playgrounds as a means of inviting social interaction. The diversity of forms of social space created along with the increasing visitation intention of generation z, which is influenced by the design of the use of playground space based on generation z environmental characteristics. The playground space has a lot of potentials to produce generation z social spaces.
