Abstract

Pada umumnya, masih banyak ditemui beberapa taman kanak-kanak di daerah Tangerang yang dalam perancangannya masih kurang tepat. Setiap taman kanak-kanak didesain dengan bentuk yang hampir mirip tanpa memperhatikan aspek tata letak yang disesuaikan dengan penggunanya. Terkadang perancangan taman kanak-kanak menjadi terkesan hanya sekedar mengikuti standarisasi karena mempertimbangkan segi profit (pembiayaan), sedangkan aspek flexible design yang menjadi salah satu persyaratan dalam perancangan bangunan taman kanak-kanak justru tidak terlihat dalam aktualisasinya. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan penelitian antara lain adalah melakukan studi literatur tentang taman kanak-kanak Tangerang dan standarisasi desainnya berdasarkan Lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (LPAUD), studi literatur tentang golden age dan elemen-elemen yang dibutuhkan dalam pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada anak pada usia golden age, studi literatur tentang kriteria-kriteria dalam perancangan taman kanak-kanak yang ideal dan mencari tahu psikologi anak pada usia golden age untuk menciptakan hakikat perancangan taman kanak-kanak yang memenuhi kebutuhan dari aspek development stages anak. Dari pengumpulan data-data tersebut, dilakukanlah studi preseden yang dikaitkan dengan studi literatur sebagai cara untuk mencari tahu kualitas pada suatu desain perancangan taman kanak-kanak dan pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan intelektual anak. Pada akhirnya, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menciptakan desain taman kanak-kanak yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan bisa memaksimalkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak-anak. Sehingga taman kanak-kanak tidak hanya sebagai pendorong untuk perkembangan kecerdasan kognitif anak tetapi juga sebagai tempat untuk mendorong kecerdasan sosial-emosi dan psikologi anak melalui pendekatan development stages dalam suatu perancangan taman kanak-kanak yang bersifat fleksibel. / In general, there are still many kindergartens in Tangerang area in term of design is still not quite right. Each kindergarten is designed with a shape that is almost similar with each other without any of consideration to the layout aspects that are adjusted to its users. Sometimes the design of a kindergarten becomes as if merely by following the standardization because it considers the profit aspect (financing), while the flexible design aspect which is one of the requirements in designing a kindergarten building actually does not appear in its actualization. Research methods that applied to achieve the research objectives include conducting a study of literature on Tangerang kindergarten and standardizing its design based on Lembaga Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (LPAUD), study of literature on golden age and the elements needed in growth and development in children at the age of golden age, study of literature on the criteria in designing kindergarten in an ideal way and find out the psychology of children at the age of golden age to create the essence of kindergarten design that fulfills the needs of aspects of the development stages of children. From the collection of these data, a precedent study is implemented which is linked to the study of literature as a way to find out the quality of a kindergarten design and its effect on children's intellectual development. Eventually, the aim of this research is to build a kindergarten design that suits children needs and can maximize the growth and development of children. Therefore, the kindergarten is not only as a stimulant for the development of children's cognitive intelligence, yet as a place to encourage children's social-emotional and psychological intelligence through the development stages approach in a kindergarten design flexibly.
