Abstract

Banyak ibu di Indonesia belum memberikan ASI eksklusif kepada bayinya meskipun pemerintah telah menganjurkan pemberian ASI kepada bayi usia 0-6 bulan tanpa tambahan makanan dan minuman apapun. ASI eksklusif merupakan pemberian ASI kepada bayi tanpa makanan atau minuman tambahan apapun kecuali oral rehydration salts, vitamin, mineral, dan obat-obatan selama bayi berusia 0-6 bulan (WHO, 2013). Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan dukungan keluarga dengan perilaku pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu bekerja di Out Patient Departement Pediatrik Siloam Hospital Lippo Village. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasi dengan kriteria inklusif ibu bekerja di luar rumah, bersedia menjadi responden, memiliki bayi usia 6 bulan-3 tahun, dan tidak memiliki indikasi medis baik pada ibu maupun bayi yang selama pemberian ASI eksklusif 0-6 bulan yang mempengaruhi pemberian ASI. Penelitian cross-sectional ini menggunakan metode purposive sampling dengan kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 38 responden. Hasil penelitian diuji dengan Spearman dan didapatkan hasil bahwa terdapat hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan perilaku pemberian ASI eksklusif pada ibu bekerja di Out Patient Departement Pediatrik Siloam Hospital Lippo Village dengan p value < 0,05 (p value = 0,024). Diharapkan penelitian selanjutnya meneliti faktor lain yang dapat meningkatkan pemberian ASI eksklusif di Indonesia./ Many mothers in Indonesia have not been exclusively breastfeeding their babies even though the government has advocated breastfeeding for infants aged 0-6 months without any additional food and drinks. Exclusive breastfeeding is defined as breastfeeding to infants aged 0-6 months without additional food or drink except oral rehydration salts, vitamins, minerals, and medicines (WHO, 2013 ) . This study aims to determine the relationship of the family support and exclusive breastfeeding behavior of working mothers in Out Patient Department of Paediatrics Siloam Hospital Lippo Village. This research is a quantitative correlation with the inclusive criteria of respondents such as mothers working outside the home, willing to become respondents, having babies aged 6 months - 3 years, and having no medical indication either in the mother or infant during exclusive breastfeeding 0-6 months that affects the provision of exclusive breastfeeding . This cross-sectional study uses purposive sampling method with the questionnaire as the data collection instrument. The number of respondents in this study was 38 respondents. The results of the study were tested with Spearman and showed that there was a relationship between family support and exclusive breastfeeding behavior in working mothers in Out Patient Department of Paediatrics Siloam Hospital Lippo Village with p value < 0.05 ( p value = 0.024 ). It is expected that future study should look at other factors enhancing exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia.
