Abstract

Panti werdha merupakan tempat di mana para Lansia di tempatkan untuk dirawat dan diberikan sarana dan fasilitas untuk menjalankan aktivitas pada kehidupan sehari-hari. Lansia adalah sebutan bagi kaum yang sudah melewati umur 63 – 67 keatas. Setiap Lansia pada umumnya memiliki kondisi fisik dan non-fisik yang berbeda-beda dan seiringnya bertambahnya umur kondisi tersebut semakin menurun. Penurunan terhadap kondisi fisik dan non-fisik mengakibatkan kaum Lansia untuk memiliki keterbatasan atau kecacatan dalam menjalankan aktivitas sehari-hari. Keterbatasan atau kecacatan yang membatasi kaum lansia untuk beraktivitas yang harus diperhatikan adalah mengenai hubungan sosial dan spiritual. Pada studi kasus Panti Werdha Berea, perancang meneliti bagaimana perancangan interior dapat berkontribusi terhadap perbaikan dan peningkatan hubungan sosial dan spiritual Lansia di Panti Werdha Berea. Pada perancangan interior Panti Werdha Berea, perancang menggunakan pendekatan Desain Partisipatori yang digabungkan dengan metode Design Thinking. Dengan pendekatan dan metode yang digabungkan perancang dapat menciptakan suatu konsep perancangan yang secara khusus diperuntukan bagi penghuni Panti Werdha Berea. Dengan perancangan interior, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan dan membangun sikap toleransi hidup para Lansia yang berujung pada penerimaan./ The nursing home is a place where the elderly are placed to be determined and given facilities to carry out activities in daily life. Elderly is a term for people who have passed the age of 63-67 and above. Every Elderly generally has different physical and non-physical conditions and it is declining. The limitation of physical and non-physical condition are the reason for the elderly to have disabilities in carrying out daily activities. The limitations or disabilities relating to social and spiritual relations is crucial. In the case study at Panti Werdha Berea, the design examines how interior design can contribute to the improvement of social and spiritual relations of the Elderly at Panti Werdha Berea. The designer uses Participatory design combined with the Design Thinking method to design Panti Werdha Berea. By discussing and the methods that are combined, new innovative concepts and solutions intended for residents of the Berea Werdha Home can be achieved. With interior design, it is expected to be able to improve and build an attitude of tolerance for the lives of the elderly, which leads to self-acceptance.
