Abstract

Peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan untuk dapat meneliti faktor pendukung dan penguat lainnya yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan ambulasi dini./ Trauma surgery in patients with lower extremity fractures causing severe pain for several days, so patients are afraid to do early ambulation. Limitations of early ambulation is also caused by the age factor that in elderly patients, the ability to perform early ambulation decreased.Early ambulation should be done for 24-48 hours post- surgery to improve bone healing process. So the purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between pain, motivation and age of the patient with the implementation of early ambulation after lower extremity fracture surgery in Siloam Hospitals Lippo Village. The design of this study is a quantitative study with cross -sectional correlation. The sample in this study of 20 patients with a purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used in this study was the chi square test. The results of the study showed thata third variable, the relationship with the implementation of motivational factors ambulation with the result ρ value = 0.005. While the pain factor no association with the implementation of early ambulation with the ρvalue= 0.368 and the age factor had no connection with the implementation of ambulation with the result ρ value= 0.528.Further research is expected to be able to examine other factors supporting and reinforcing associated with the implementation of early ambulation
