Abstract

Belakangan ini, penjualan kamar perhotelan di Bali meningkat, para pengunjung yang berasal dari berbagai daerah dan negara beramai-ramai menjadikan pulau Bali sebagai tempat untuk berlibur. Pengunjung cenderung memilih untuk tinggal di Hotel yang masih baru dengan berbagai fasilitas, hal ini menyebabkan Hotel yang berdiri sejak dulu perlahan-lahan mulai ditinggalkan. Penyebab utama dari permasalahan ini adalah kurangnya peremajaan pada Hotel yang telah berdiri sejak lama, hotel-hotel ini cenderung mempertahankan bentuk bangunan Bali tradisional dengan furniture yang tidak pernah diperbarui sejak awal mula Hotel tersebut berdiri. Peremajaan Hotel diperlukan karena Hotel yang berdiri sejak dahulu (sebelum tahun 2000) belum memiliki fasilitas yang lengkap dan canggih, sehingga pada masa sekarang mereka kalah bersaing dengan Hotel baru.
