Abstract

Seorang anak seharusnya dibesarkan memperoleh kebutuhan dasar dari orang tua dan keluarganya, namun tidak semua anak dapat merasakan hal yang sama. Banyak dari mereka yang terbengkalai akibat faktor ekonomi, keluarga dan lingkungan yang tidak mendukung. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ini, panti asuhan sebagai lembaga sosial berusaha menggantikan posisi orang tua dan keluarga. Panti Asuhan Pintu Elok adalah salah satu panti asuhan di Tangerang yang menaungi 67 orang anak terlantar dengan latar belakang, usia dan kepribadian yang berbeda. Setiap anak memiliki luka dan trauma yang memengaruhi pembentukan kepribadian dan motivasi belajar mereka. Melalui desain partisipatori dan bantuan metode design thinking, penulis bersama Panti Asuhan Pintu Elok menggunakan konsep “Membangun kebersamaan Panti Asuhan Pintu Elok untuk mendorong timbulnya motivasi yang dapat mendorong potensi, pemulihan luka batin dan kepercayaan diri” sebagai pemecahan masalah. Lewat ruang interior, penulis membangun suasana kebersamaan yang dapat membuat anak tertarik untuk mencoba hal-hal baru dan bereksplorasi, memfasilitasi cara belajar anak sesuai dengan multiple intelligence yang mereka miliki dan merancang ruang yang memengaruhi psikologis anak untuk belajar dan melakukan aktivitas dengan baik. Dengan ruang interior terancang, diharapkan anak-anak dapat termotivasi untuk belajar bersama sehingga dapat berhasil dan tidak terfokus pada traumanya. / A child should be raised and obtain their basic needs from parents and family, but not all children have the same opportunity. Many of them are abandoned due to economic, family and environmental issues. To meet this need, orphanage as a social institution undertake the position of parents and family. Pintu Elok Orphanage is an orphanage in Tangerang that accommodate 67 abandoned children from different backgrounds, ages and personalities. Every child has their own emotional scar and trauma that affect their personality and learning motivation. Through participatory design and design thinking method, the author with Pintu Elok Orphanage uses the concept of "Building sense of togetherness in Pintu Elok Orphanage to encourage motivation, discover potential, recover inner wounds and self-confidence boost" as problem solving. Through interior space, the author build an environment to bring togetherness that can make children interested in exploring and trying new things, facilitating children's learning needs in accordance with their multiple intelligence and designing spaces that affect children's psychological well-being for learning and doing activities. With the designed interior space, it is hoped that children can be motivated to learn together so that they can succeed and no longer focused on their trauma.
