Abstract

Teks dan gambar merupakan media komunikasi yang memiliki fungsi berbeda namun saling melengkapi. Teks mampu menyampaikan informasi secara akurat sedangkan gambar dapat menarik perhatian orang. Perbedaan peranan dan fungsi dari media komunikasi ini dimanfaatkan untuk memperkenalkan dan menyampaikan informasi dari buku The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read. Dengan dasar kata kunci "kontemporer" dan "interaktif", penulis melakukan studi pustaka, wawancara dan observasi untuk mendukung penulis dalam keseluruhan proyek perancangan visualisasi buku agar dapat mencapai tujuan perancangan yang ada dengan baik / Text and image are both communication media that have different functions, however complementing each other. Texts are able to deliver information accurately while images have the ability to gain people's interests. The difference between these two media is utilized to introduce and deliver pieces of information from the book. Based on the keywords decided, "Contemporary" and "Interactive", the writer had done some library research, interview, and observations to support herself while doing this project so that it can fulfill the initial goal perfectly.
