Abstract

Perkembangan dunia mengalami banyak paradigma dari sebelumnya hingga sekarang. Sebagai salah satu contoh, awalnya negara sangat mengedepankan aspek keamanan negara sebagai tolak ukur kekuatan negara, namun dengan perkembangan dan globalisasi memunculkan aspek lain yang juga menjadi sama pentingnya. Aspek tersebut adalah kemampuan perekonomian suatu negara sebagai salah satu bentuk kekuatan negara. Hubungan RRT dengan negara anggota ASEAN pada awalnya relatif tidak baik. Walaupun begitu, kedua pihak melakukan kerja sama ekonomi antara ASEAN dengan RRT dengan pembentukan ACFTA. Hal ini menimbulkan pertanyaan pada penelitian ini, bagaimana implikasi kerja sama ekonomi tersebut bagi ASEAN dan khususnya Indonesia? Untuk menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, metodologi yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kualitatif sebagai pendekatan utama menggunakan sumber buku, jurnal, dokumen dan berita. Adapun data-data numerikal atau kuantitatif yang didapatkan dari lembaga resmi untuk memperkuat argumen penelitian. Kerja sama ekonomi melalui ACFTA diharapkan menghasilkan interdependensi ekonomi antara ASEAN dengan RRT. Namun dari hasil penelitian, kerja sama tersebut justru menghasilkan dependensi terhadap RRT. Walaupun berdasarkan data numerikal RRT berkontribusi besar dalam pendapatan Indonesia. Namun, bila melihat hubungan untuk jangka panjang, sifat dependensi tersebut akan menjadi bumerang bagi Indonesia ketika performa ekonomi RRT mengalami penurunan. Sehingga, Indonesia harus mencoba cari inovasi baru dan bekerja sama dengan negara anggota ASEAN lainnya agar pangsa perdagangan Indonesia lebih merata sebagai bentuk mitigasi eksposur perdagangan. Hal ini juga merupakan tantangan yang harus dihadapi ASEAN, sebab ASEAN harus memiliki solidaritas yang tinggi untuk menghadapi isu terkait. / The development of the world experiences many paradigms from before until now. As one example, the state initially emphasized aspects of state security as a measure of state power, but with developments and globalization, other aspects emerged that were equally important. This aspect is the ability of a country's economy as a form of state power. The relationship between the PRC and ASEAN member countries was initially relatively poor. Nevertheless, the two parties conducted economic cooperation between ASEAN and China with the formation of the ACFTA. This raises the question in this study, what are the implications of the economic cooperation for ASEAN and specifically Indonesia? To answer these questions, the methodology used is a qualitative approach as the main approach using sources of books, journals, documents and news. The numerical or quantitative data obtained from official institutions to strengthen the research argument. Economic cooperation through ACFTA is expected to produce economic interdependence between ASEAN and China. But from the results of the study, the collaboration actually produced dependencies on the PRC. Although based on numerical data, the PRC contributed greatly to Indonesia's income. However, if you look at the relationship for the long term, the nature of the dependencies will backfire for Indonesia when the economic performance of the PRC has declined. Therefore, Indonesia must try to find new innovations and cooperate with other ASEAN member countries so that Indonesia's trade share is more evenly distributed as a form of mitigating trade exposure. This is also a challenge that ASEAN must face, because ASEAN must have high solidarity to deal with related issues.
