Abstract

Penginapan merupakan salah satu industri yang memiliki prospek tinggi di Indonesia, salah satunya karena keindahan alam yang dimiliki Indonesia. Begitu banyak penginapan terutama di daerah wisata yang menimbulkan persaingan ketat antara satu penginapan dengan penginapan lainnya. Dengan demikian, dibutuhkan suatu karakteristik yang dapat menarik pasar, salah satunya lewat identitas visual. Pesona Krakatau merupakan sebuah penginapan yang terletak pada daerah Anyer, Banten, yang memiliki keunggulan dari segi lokasi karena memiliki pantai dengan pasir putih dan landai. Namun, terdapat penginapan-penginapan lain yang dapat dikatakan lebih terkenal, sehingga Pesona Krakatau sulit untuk menarik pengunjung. Secara visual, masalah ini dapat diselesaikan dengan perancangan identitas visual yang menarik dan berkarakter. Perancangan dilakukan dengan berbasis riset, analisis data, serta penerapan prinsip-prinsip desain. Dari hasil perancangan, identitas visual Pesona Krakatau menjadi lebih relevan, dalam hal ini terlihat dari segi karakter visual yang lebih kuat serta konsisten. / Housing is one of the industries that has a high prospect in Indonesia, one of them is because of the beauty of Indonesia’s nature. There are many housings especially in tourism areas that cause tight competition between one another. With that, a characteristic is needed to attract visitors, and it can be through visual identity. Pesona Krakatau is a housing located in Anyer, Banten, that has a plus point for it’s location because of the white sand and sloping beach. However, there are some other housing that are better known, this causes difficulty for Pesona Krakatau to attract visitors. Visually, this problem can be solved by designing an attractive visual identity that has character. Design is based on research, data analysis, and application of design principles. The outcome of the design is a visual identity of Pesona Krakatau that is more relevant by having a strong visual character and consistent visuals.
