Abstract

Innovation capability is considered to be one of the important factors for the company to survive. It is because company has to stay competitive in the market and win against competitors due to tight competition. Hence, the objective of this study is to know the impacts of innovation capability towards company’s performance at PT Agrosari Sentraprima. The design used by the writer is quantitative research to describe the characteristics of the phenomenon and to see the relationships of variable. Data used in this research are primary and secondary data. The sampling technique used in this research is census sampling to research 53 employees at PT Agrosari Sentraprima. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that innovation capability has impact towards company’s performance at PT Agrosari Sentraprima with the coefficient of determination test results is 55.5%. From t-test, it can also be seen that sig value is lower than 0.05 which is 0.00 showing that variable x has strong impact towards variable y. From linear regression analysis, it can be known that company performance will increase by 10.213 when value increase by 1 unit on innovation capability. Hence, when company try to improve their innovation capability, there is no doubt that company’s performance will increase. In conclusion, writer recommend the company to upgrade their technology, implement new integrated system, create some activities for employees in maintaining loyalty, and motivate them in giving feedbacks for better performance at PT Agrosari Sentraprima./ Kemampuan berinovasi adalah salah satu faktor penting perusahaan untuk bertahan dalam persaingan di pasaran. Hal itu dikarenakan perusahaan harus tetap memiliki keunggulan kompetitif untuk bisa lebih unggul dari kompetitornya karena persaingan usaha sangatlah ketat di pasaran. Oleh karenanya, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak dari kemampuan berinovasi terhadap kinerja perusahaan di PT Agrosari Sentraprima. Desain yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah metode kuantitatif untuk menggambarkan karakteristik fenomena dan melihat hubungan antar variabel. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Sedangkan, metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu sampling jenuh dalam penelitian terhadap 53 karyawan pada PT Agrosari Sentraprima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan inovasi berdampak terhadap kinerja perusahaan pada PT Agrosari Sentraprima dengan hasil koefisien uji determinasi mencapai 55,5 persen. Dari uji-t, juga dapat dilihat bahwa nilai sig lebih rendah dari 0.05 yang adalah 0.00. Ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel x memiliki pengaruh yang kuat terhadap variabel y. Selain itu, dari analisis regresi linier, dapat diketahui bahwa kinerja perusahaan akan meningkat sebesar 10,213 ketika nilai meningkat sebesar 1-unit pada kemampuan berinovasi perusahaan. Oleh karenanya, Ketika perusahaan mencoba untuk meningkatkan kemampuan inovasinya, tidak ada keraguan bahwa kinerja perusahaan akan meningkat. Kesimpulannya, penulis merekomendasikan perusahaan untuk memperbaharui teknologinya, mengimplementasikan sistim yang terintegrasi, menciptakan aktivitas-aktivitas yang bisa mempertahankan karyawan, dan memotivasi karyawan dalam penyampaian pendapat untuk meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan di PT Agrosari Sentraprima.
