Abstract

Innovation capability facilitates firm to develop new technologies and eliminate competitive threats which helps the firm to integrate capabilities and stimulus innovation successfully. Researchers have studied different variables that have influenced the firm performance which one of it is innovative capability of the firms. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of innovation capability towards firm’s performance in running its business. The data collected will be distributed through questionnaire that will be answered by all of the employees at CV. Solid Home Construction in Medan. In analyzing this data, the writer used validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistics, normality test, linearity test, heteroscedasticity test, coefficient of determination test, simple linear regression analysis, and t-test. The validity and reliability tests that have been proven that the questionnaires were being distributed are valid and reliable. The result of normality test, linearity test, and heteroscedasticity test shown that the variables are normally distributed, the relationships between both variables are linear, and the data distribution is heteroscedastic. The coefficient determination results show the firm’s performance is affected by the innovation capability and the coefficient of linear regression show that the improving of innovation capability can increase the firm’s performance. The results of t-test show that innovation capability has a significant influence on firm’s performance at CV. Solid Home Construction in Medan. However,innovation capability is not the only factor that influences the firm’s performance at CV. Solid Home Construction in Medan, there are other factors that have influenced on the firm’s performance which are not being discussed in this research. / Kemampuan inovasi memfasilitasi perusahaan untuk mengembangkan teknologi baru dan menghilangkan ancaman kompetitif yang membantu perusahaan untuk mendorong inovasinya dengan sukses. Ilmuwan telah mempelajari berbagai variabel yang memengaruhi kinerja perusahaan, yang salah satunya adalah kemampuan inovatif perusahaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisi spengaruh kemampuan inovasi terhadap kinerja perusahaan dalam menjalankan bisnisnya. Data yang dikumpulkan akan didistribusikan melalui kuesioner yang dijawab oleh semua karyawannya. Dalam menganalisis data, penulis menggunakanuji validitas, uji reliabilitas, statistic deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linieritas, uji heteroskedastisitas, uji koefisien determinasi, analisis regresi linier sederhana, dan uji-t. Uji validitas dan reliabilitas yang telah terbukti bahwa kuesioner yang dibagikan valid dan dapat diandalkan. Hasil uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan uji heteroskedastisitas menunjukkan bahwa variable berdistribusi normal, hubungan kedua variable bersifat linier, dan distribusi data bersifat heteroskedastik. Hasil penentuan koefisien menunjukkan kinerja perusahaan dipengaruhi oleh kemampuaninovasi dan koefisien regresi linier menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan inovasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan. Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa kemampuaninovasimemilikipengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan di CV. Solid Home Construction di Medan. Namun, kemampuan inovasi bukan satu-satunya faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan di CV. Solid Home Construction, ada faktor-faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan yang tidak dibahas didalam penelitian ini.
