Abstract

Nowadays, many entrepreneurs do not understand about how important implementing Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) inside the company. The entrepreneur of PT. Tomang Elok, Medan is one of them. This causes the Business Performance inside the company is getting weaker compare to few years ago. Many previous researchers believe that EO has a positive effect towards Business Performance, however there is a debate that EO does not always has a positive effect towards Business Performance since there is a study reported to have negative effect between EO and Business Performance. In this study, the writer will use Quantitative method, the census method and the total sample are 32 employees. These employees will be answering the questions from the questionnaire that is distributed by the writer. The writer also did a pre-test to 30 employees from PT Graha Medan Makmur. Several tests will then be carried out to analyze the data from the questionnaire. For the pre-test, validity and reliability test is valid. For the main test, the normality, linearity and heteroscedasticity test also pass the test. Coefficient determination result is 52% that entrepreneurial orientation can effect business performance and T-test result is Ha accepted which means that entrepreneurial orientation has effect on business performance. The recommendations for this company are to start promoting online, preparing financial plan to increase business performance and for future researchers to study about other factors that might affect business performance./Saat ini, banyak wirausahawan yang tidak mengerti tentang betapa pentingnya mengimplementasikan Orientasi Kewirausahaan di dalam perusahaan. Pengusaha PT. Tomang Elok, Medan adalah salah satunya. Hal ini menyebabkan Performa Bisnis di dalam perusahaan semakin melemah dibandingkan beberapa tahun yang lalu. Banyak peneliti sebelumnya percaya bahwa Orientasi Kewirausahaan memiliki efek positif terhadap Performa Bisnis, namun ada perdebatan bahwa Orientasi Kewirausahaan tidak selalu memiliki efek positif terhadap Performa Bisnis karena ada penelitian yang dilaporkan memiliki efek negatif antara Orientasi Kewirausahaan dan Performa Bisnis. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan menggunakan metode Kuantitatif, metode sensus dan jumlah sampel adalah 32 karyawan. Karyawan ini akan menjawab pertanyaan dari kuesioner yang disebarkan oleh penulis. Penulis juga melakukan pre-test kepada 30 karyawan dari PT Graha Medan Makmur. Beberapa tes kemudian akan dilakukan untuk menganalisis data dari kuesioner. Untuk pre-test, uji validitas dan reliabilitas hasilnya valid. Untuk test utama, uji normalitas, linieritas, dan heteroskedastisitas juga lulus test. Hasil koefisien determinasi adalah 52% dan hasil uji-T diterima. Rekomendasi untuk perusahaan ini adalah mulai mempromosikan secara online, menyiapkan rencana keuangan untuk meningkatkan performa bisnis dan bagi para peneliti di masa depan untuk mempelajari tentang faktor-faktor lain yang mungkin mempengaruhi kinerja bisnis.
