Abstract

Nowadays, the hospitality industry is very famous in the market of business and many of the young generations are really interested in this industry. This research was conducted at Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru which is classified as a four-star hotel, manage by Core Hospitality International and owned by PT. Asiacitra Riau Property. The purpose of this research is to identify the influence of partial, training on employee performance, rewards on employee performance also the influence of training and rewards on employee performance simultaneously. Employee performance is one of the factors that related to customer satisfaction, training is the process of learning in order to get new things that related to what will happen in the field while the reward is to motivate the employee to give the best performance. The research is done by the quantitative method by interviewing and distributing a questionnaire to the sample of this research. The sampling method is taken by Convenience Sampling with the total sample is 101 out of 135 employees of Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. Data analyzed by using multiple linear regression with the result of simultaneously test, the f-calculated is greater than the f-table which is 4.768. For the coefficient of determination shows that training and rewards have simultaneous influence toward employee performance by 8.9%. This research concluded that there is a simultaneous influence of training and rewards on employee performance. Training influence employee performance and rewards influence employee performance. / Saat ini, industri perhotelan sangat terkenal di pasar bisnis dan banyak generasi muda yang tertarik dengan industri ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru yang diklasifikasikan sebagai hotel bintang empat, dikelola oleh Core Hospitality International dan dimiliki oleh PT. Asiacitra Riau Property. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi pengaruh parsial, pelatihan terhadap kinerja karyawan, penghargaan terhadap kinerja karyawan serta pengaruh pelatihan dan penghargaan terhadap kinerja karyawan secara simultan. Kinerja Karyawan merupakan salah satu faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepuasan pelanggan, pelatihan adalah proses pembelajaran untuk mendapatkan hal-hal baru yang terkait dengan apa yang akan terjadi di lapangan sedangkan penghargaan guna untuk memotivasi karyawan untuk memberikan kinerja terbaik. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuantitatif dengan mewawancarai dan mendistribusikan kuesioner terhadap sampel dalam penelitian ini. Metode pengambilan sampel diambil dengan metode Convenience Sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 101 dari 135 karyawan Grand Elite Hotel Pekanbaru. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan hasil uji simultan, F-hitung lebih besar dari F-tabel yaitu sebesar 4,768. Untuk koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan dan penghargaan memiliki pengaruh simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan sebesar 8.9%. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh pelatihan dan penghargaan secara simultan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Pelatihan mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan dan penghargaan mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan.
