Abstract

Training quality has the greatest effect on results as an employee’s job productivity depends on the amount of experience it would have received. Training affects success by deciding whether you can retain or lose the job if you do not finish well. This research objectives are: (1) To evaluate the training at Aryaduta Hotel Medan; (2) To evaluate the employee performance at Aryaduta Hotel Medan; (3) To discover whether training has influence towards employee performance at Aryaduta Hotel Medan. This research was conducted by using quantitative descriptive method. Number of samples used in this research are 48 samples. Data used in this research is primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research are validity test, reliability test, descriptive statistic, normality test, determination test, analysis of linear regression equation, and Z-test. Based on the data analysis, the coefficient of linear regression = 0.814 (positive). This means that training (X) has positive influence towards employee performance (Y). The value of determination coefficient R2 = 59.2%. This value means that training (X) simultaneously influences employee performance (Y) by 59.2%. The result of Z-test shows that Zcount > Ztable (5.267 > 1.96). Therefore, it can be said that training has a significant positif influence towards employee performance. It is suggested for company to take care of employees. It is because, in an organization, it is important to have open-minded and positive-thinking employees to achieve the good level of training.
