Abstract

Cosmetic has its regulation about the composition and ingredients that has been legalized since long. When producer want to publish their cosmetic products, they use promotion strategy to sale their products through the advertising agency. They promote those cosmetics in a good way and tell the consumer all about the advantage of using their products inspite there so many disadvantage that contains in their products but for so many times, they hide this true information from the consumer to get the profit from selling their products which is why I am concern about these issues mostly about the harm promotion prohibition regulation, the implementetion of criminal law, and the realization of consumer protection to protect the rights of consumer from the harm promotion. I want to analyse these issues from so many perspectives, such as from the aspect of the Law No. 8/1999 on Consumer Protection, Law No. 32/2002 on Broadcasting, Law No. 11/2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions and mostly from the aspect of Criminal Law. I hope this term paper will be a good literature about the promotion, self awareness for consumer and producer, and give us more knowledge nowadays.
