Abstract

The Theological study program at XYZ Evangelical Theological College was the first study program that was formed and began to conduct the teaching and learning process together with the establishment of this Christian higher education institution. Transformational leadership with four main pillars namely 1. Ideal influence, 2. Inspirational motivation, 3. Intellectual stimulation, and 4. Individual consideration of leaders to members of the organization into a solution to be able to realize the vision and mission of Christ as contained in the vision and mission of the institution in realize the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to reach all the earth for the glory of His name. The purpose of this study is to look at the role and how the implementation of transformational leadership in the Theological Study Program so that the leadership role goes well and creates a profile of graduates who are resilient in science and working hard to achieve Vision In the Messiah (VIM 2030). This research uses a case study research model with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were the Chair of the Study Program (Kaprodi) and five permanent lecturers in theology study program. The instruments used were interviews, questionnaires, and study documents.The data analysis process uses open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The results of the study revealed that the implementation of transformational leadership by the Chair of the Theological Study Program was already underway but there were still many things that needed to be addressed, especially in the aspect of the personal introduction of leaders to subordinates and students in theology study programs they were leading. Both the results of the interviews and the results of student questionnaire counts indicate a large dissatisfaction with this aspect. Students prefer to be neutral in responding to statements about this aspect, while the teaching lecturer recommends improvements and improvements which ultimately lead to positive changes in accordance with the goals and mission of the study program and the vision and mission of the institution as a whole. / Program studi Teologi yang ada di Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Injili XYZ adalah program studi pertama yang dibentuk dan mulai melakukan proses belajar mengajar bersamaan dengan berdirinya institusi pendidikan tinggi Kristen ini. Kepemimpinan transformasional dengan empat pilar utama yakni 1. Pengaruh yang ideal, 2. Inspirasi dan motivasi, 3. Stimulasi intelektual, dan 4. Pengenalan pribadi pemimpin kepada anggota organisasi menjadi solusi untuk dapat mewujudkan visi dan misi Kristus yang tertuang dalam visi dan misi lembaga dalam mewujudkan Amanat Agung Yesus Kristus untuk menjangkau seluruh bumi bagi kemuliaan nama-Nya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah melihat peran dan bagaimana implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional di Program Studi Teologi ini sehingga peran kepemimpinan berjalan dengan baik dan menciptakan profil lulusan yang tangguh dalam keilmuan dan semangat kerja keras mencapai Vision In Mesiah (VIM 2030). Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah seorang Ketua Program Studi (kaprodi) dan lima orang dosen pengajar tetap pada Prodi Teologi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah wawancara, kuesioner, dan studi dokumen. Proses analisa data menggunakan pengkodean terbuka, pengkodean aksial, dan pengkodean selektif. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional oleh Ketua Program Studi Teologi sudah berjalan namun masih banyak hal yang harus dibenahi, terutama dalam aspek pengenalan pribadi pemimpin terhadap bawahan maupun kepada mahasiswa di Prodi teologi yang di pimpinnya. Baik hasil wawancara maupun hasil hitung kuesioner mahasiswa menunjukkan adanya ketidak puasan yang besar terhadap aspek ini. Mahasiswa lebih memilih netral di dalam menanggapi akan pernyataan tentang aspek ini, sedangkan dosen pengajar menganjurkan adanya perbaikan dan pembenahan yang akhirnya membawa kepada perubahan yang positif sesuai dengan tujuan dan viisi misi prodi serta visi misi lembaga secara utuh.
