Abstract

Guru Kristen diharapkan dapat menjadi pemimpin rohani agar murid bertumbuh secara rohani. SMP Bintang Mulia, Bandung merupakan sekolah yang memperhatikan aspek kerohanian murid. Salah satu program yang diterapkan adalah Program Shepherding, di mana seorang guru menjadi pembimbing bagi 12-13 murid selama tiga tahun masa belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan menyelidiki peran kepemimpinan rohani guru dalam pertumbuhan murid melalui Program Shepherding. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian evaluasi sumatif yang dikembangkan oleh Michael Scriven. Sampel penelitian adalah 12 murid yang telah mengalami masa belajar lebih dari dua tahun yang dipilih secara purposif. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara. Pengujian keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi. Data dianalisa dengan melakukan Initial Coding, Focused Coding dan Thematic Coding. dengan bantuan program komputer QSR NVivo 10. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan tiga tema tentang pertumbuhan rohani murid: 1) Beriman kepada Yesus Kristus sebagai Tuhan dan Juru Selamat, 2) Membangun relasi dengan Tuhan, dan 3) Mengusahakan hidup kudus. Dua tema mengidentifikasi peran program shepherding dalam pertumbuhan rohani murid: 1) Menyediakan komunitas yang membangun, dan 2) Sarana bertumbuh dalam firman Tuhan. Tiga tema menggambarkan peran kepemimpinan rohani guru dalam pertumbuhan rohani murid: 1) Mengarahkan murid untuk hidup dalam Tuhan, 2) Menunjukkan kepedulian untuk membangun relasi, 3) Menjadi teladan hidup yang nyata. / Christian teachers are expected to become spiritual leaders for students in order to help them grow spiritually. Bintang Mulia Junior High School, Bandung is a school that concern to the spiritual aspects of students. One of the programs implemented is the Shepherding Program, where a teacher guides 12-13 students for three years of study. This research aims to investigate the role of the teacher's spiritual leadership in students’ spiritual growth through the Shepherding Program. The research used a program evaluation of Michael Scriven’s sumative model with qualitative approach. Sample was 12 students who had experienced more than two years of study who were selected purposively. Data collected by interview method. Data validity testing is done by triangulation. Data were analyzed by doing Initial Coding, Focused Coding and Thematic Coding through NVivo QSR 10 software. The results of the research revealed three themes about the spiritual growth of students: 1) Faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, 2) Building relationships with God, and 3) Striving for a holy life. Two themes identify the role of shepherding programs in students' spiritual growth: 1) Providing constructive communities, and 2) Means of growth in the word of God. Three themes illustrate the role of the teacher's spiritual leadership in students' spiritual growth: 1) Directing students to live in God, 2) Showing concern for building relationships, 3) Becoming a living example.
