Abstract

Penelitian ini mengangkat inovasi sebagai fokus penelitian. Secara khusus diteliti pengaruh dari tiga variabel yang diduga berkorelasi dengan perilaku inovasi di lingkungan pendidikan yang dinamis dan penuh tantangan, yaitu problem solving demand, proactive behaviour serta work engagement yang berperan sebagai mediator. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memprediksi hubungan langsung dan positif dari problem solving demand, proactive behaviour dan work engagement terhadap perilaku inovatif guru. Sebanyak 41 orang guru sekolah dasar yang terletak di wilayah Tangerang Selatan dilibatkan di dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem solving demand dan proactive behaviour berkorelasi positif dengan perilaku inovatif guru. Berlawanan dengan work engagement yang tidak menunjukkan adanya korelasi dengan perilaku inovatif, yang berarti hasil ini tidak konsisten dengan penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya, membuka sebuah peluang untuk penelitian lanjutan. Kesimpulan, keterbatasan dan saran-saran praktis dari penelitian ini disertakan di bagian akhir dari laporan penulisan. / This study raised innovation as the focus of research. Specifically, the influence of three variables that are thought to correlate with innovative behavior in a dynamic and challenging educational environment is examined, namely problem solving demand, proactive behavior and work engagement that act as mediators. The purpose of this study is to predict the direct and positive relationship of problem solving demand, proactive behavior and work engagement on innovative behavior of teachers. A total of 41 elementary school teachers from the South Tangerang region were the subjects in this study. The results showed that problem solving demand and proactive behavior were positively correlated with teacher innovative behavior. In contrast to work engagement that does not show a correlation with innovative behavior, which means that these results are not consistent with previous studies, opening an opportunity for further research. Conclusions, limitations and practical suggestions are included at the end of the study.
