Abstract

Setiap anak memiliki hak yang sama untuk memperoleh pendidikan. Hak untuk memperoleh pendidikan hendaknya sama baik bagi anak yang normal maupun anak dengan berkebutuhan khusus. Pada penelitian ini berupaya untuk menggambarkan metode pendidikan pada anak disabilitas ganda. Anak disabilitas ganda adalah anak yang memiliki keterbatasan bukan hanya secara fisik, tetapi juga memiliki keterbatasan secara intelektual. Yayasan Sayap Ibu membangun sekolah untuk memenuhi hak anak disabilitas untuk memperoleh pendidikan. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang digunakan di Yayasan Sayap Ibu adalah metode operant conditioning, operant conditioning ialah pembelajaran dimana tindakan anak dapat dikontrol dengan adanya konsekuensi atau stimulus yang terjadi setelah adanya perilaku. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran metode pembelajaran operant conditioning yang diterapkan di Yayasan Sayap Ibu. Dalam penelitian inikhususnya diteliti di kelas pra vokasional yang melakukan metode belajar operant conditioning yang diterapkan pada anak disabilitas ganda, Pada kelas pra vokasional pengajaran yang diberikan pada anak meliputi akademik, keterampilan, dan kemandirian. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian reinforcement positif dan negatif pada anak dapat meningkatkan perilaku disiplin dan memotivasi anak dalam kegiatan belajar. Selain itu pemberian punishment juga dapat mengurangi perilaku anak yang tidak dinginkan namun kosekuensinya juga dapat menimbulkan emosi pada anak tersebut./ Every chid has the right to education. The right to have education should be equal between the normal children and children with disabilities. This research tries to describe the children with multiple disabilities learning method. Children with multiple disabilities are children with boundaries not only physical, but also their intellect. Yayasan Sayap Ibu builds the school to fulfill the childrens with multiple disabilities right to have education. One of the learning method that is used in Yayasan Sayap Ibu is operant conditioning method. Operant conditioning method is a learning that childrens action can be controlled with consequence or stimulus that happens after behavior. The purpose of this research is to know the image of operant conditioning learning method that is used by Yayasan Sayap Ibu. In this research, especially in the pra vokasional class who does the operant conditioning method to the children with multiple disabilities. In this pra vokasional class, the learning that is given to the children includes academic, skills, and independence. The result of this research shows that giving positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement to the children are able to hel in increasing the discipline, behavior and motivate them in studying. Other than that, giving punishment also helps lessen the unwanted children behavior but the consequence may affect emotion of the children with multiple disabilities.
