Abstract

Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan perancangan dan pembuatan Air Drum. Air Drum dibuat dengan menggunakan sensor akselerometer dan gyroscope dengan modul mikrokontroler Arduino. Pengendalian dilakukan dengan mengambil informasi pada sensor akselerometer dan sensor gyroscope. Informasi yang diterima oleh modul mikrokontroler diproses dan diubah menjadi perintah untuk mengeluarkan suara berdasarkan sudut stik drum yang dideteksi melalui sensor akselerometer dan gyroscope. Setelah dilakukan pengecekan awal keluaran sensor akselerometer pada ayunan vertikal yang digunakan untuk memicu buzzer, kemudian digunakan library Digital Motion Processor (DMP) pada Arduino untuk pengukuran perubahan sudut vertikal dan horisontal pada stik drum. Perubahan sudut vertikal digunakan untuk memicu bunyi, sedangkan posisi sudut horisontal digunakan untuk memilih bunyi yang berbeda, seperti snare drum atau cymbals. Sistem perangkat lunak untuk mengeluarkan bunyi MIDI pada speaker laptop terdiri dari Fruityloops, Loop Midi dan Hairless MIDI. Pada penelitian ini, Air drum dapat mengeluarkan suara yang diprogram saat stik drum diayunkan di udara, dan memicu bunyi yang berbeda berdasarkan sudut horisontal dari stik drum./ In this project, Air Drum will be designed and made. The Air Drum uses accelerometer and gyroscope sensor with Arduino. The control of the Air Drum is done by retrieving information from the accelerometer and gyroscope. The received information will be processed by Arduino microcontroller and converted into commands to trigger the sound based on the angle of the drum stick measured by the accelerometer and gyroscope censor. After checking the accelerometer output and used it to trigger a buzzer during a vertical swing, the Digital Motion Processor (DMP) library in Arduino is used to measure the movement of vertical and horizontal angle of the drum stick. The change in vertical angle is used to trigger the sound, while the position of the horizontal angle of the drum stick is used to choose different sounds, such as snare or cymbals. Software system used for the MIDI drum sound in laptop includes Fruityloops, Loop MIDI and Hairless MIDI. The project succeed in designing the Air Drum to trigger the drum sound by the swing of the drum stick, and choosing a different sound by the horizontal angle of the stick.
