Abstract

Seiring perkembangan jaman yang semakin menuntut gaya hidup manusia, para developer dan investor berlomba-lomba membangun mal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tersebut, tidak hanya di Jakarta tetapi di beberapa kota besar seperti Tangerang. Untuk dapat meningkatkan pemenuhan kebutuhan pengunjung, maka diperlukan penelitian mengenai motivasi belanja pengunjung dalam pelayanan yang diberikan oleh Summarecon Mall Serpong. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik kepustakaan dan juga teknik komunikasi, yaitu dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada responden yang berbelanja di Summarecon Mall Serpong. Data diolah dengan menggunakan analisis validitas, reliabilitas, dan korelasi bivariat non parametrik Spearman. Pengukuran dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 40 orang responden, yang kemudian diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Setelah itu baru dilakukan penyebaran kepada 100 orang responden dan kemudian dilakukan analisis. Dari hasil penelitian dapat dibuktikan bahwa faktor pelayanan gerai dan produk dapat mempengaruhi motivasi belanja pengunjung Summarecon Mall Serpong. Saran dari Penulis adalah agar Summarecon sering menambah atau memperbaharui produk dan gerai seiring perkembangan jaman agar dapat memenuhi kebutuhan pengunjung sehingga meningkatkan motivasi belanja pengunjung. / Nowadays the high demand of human lifestyle has made many developers and investors compete with each other to construct mall or department stores to satisfy the demand, not only in Jakarta but also in some other big cities as Tangerang. In order to enhance the realization of visitor’s need, it is necessary to do some research on visitor’s expended motivation in the services that is provided by Summarecon Mall Serpong. Data collection was done using literature as well as communication techniques, by distributing questionnaires to respondents who are visitors of Summarecon Mall Serpong. The data were processed using analysis of validity, reliability, and non-parametric Spearman bivariate correlations. The measurement was conducted by distributing questionnaires to 40 respondents, and then it will be tested to check its validity and reliability. Just after that, the questionnaires will be spread to other 100 respondents, and finally analysis is needed. The result of this study showed that the dealer service and product factors influenced the visitor’s of Summarecon Mall Serpong expended motivation. Advice from the author is that Summarecon should frequently put in or bring the up to date products and also outlets, in order to satisfy the needs of visitors thereby increased the visitor’s expended motivation.
