Abstract
Seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi, perkembangan media sosial juga ikut berkembang. Di Indonesia terdapat 79 juta pengguna media sosial aktif per Januari 2016. Penggunaan media sosial beserta dengan paparan kontennya dapat memicu terjadinya social comparison orientation yang merupakan kecenderungan untuk membandingkan pencapaian, kondisi dan pengalaman dengan orang lain. Beberapa penelitian telah membuktikan bahwa media masa memiliki peran dalam pembentukan persepsi body image yang negatif pada seseorang. Penelitian ini ingin melihat apakah ada hubungan antara adiksi Instagram dengan terbentuknya persepsi body image yang negatif pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Pelita Harapan.
