Abstract
A child is a gift from God Almighty, in which he attaches dignity as a whole person. Every child has rights that must be protected and respected by everyone. But in reality, there are still many violations of children's rights that occur in Indonesia. This study uses the Normative method by collecting data through literature to answer research questions. This legal research is to look at existing regulations in Indonesia concerning child protection which have been regulated in Law No. 22 of 2002 concerning Child Protection and its amendments, as well as its implementation in Indonesia. The results of this legal research show responsibility for children not only for the government and parents but also the community; as well as the law enforcement on child protection in Indonesia is not yet optimal. Thus, this research can provide contributions and input for those who apply protection to children's rights.
