Along with the rapid development of the times and technological advances that are strongly supported by the presence of the internet, so too are the developments in piracy in copyright. One of the cases of piracy that is rife in Indonesia is book piracy in the form of electronic books or also better known as e-books, which are digital books that can be easily accessed through electronic devices. Copyright piracy in the form of e-books is very harmful to the point where experts have said that this action will not easily go away. However, it is very unfortunate that in Indonesia, the level of awareness towards e-book piracy is still extremely low. In fact, e-book piracy is very similar to copying an original book into a copybook and selling it. The profits from the sale are not given to the creator or the copyright holder, but the profits are taken by the person who sold them. This situation is almost similar to e-books but the difference is that illegal e-book sales are carried out through online platforms. This brings the author's attention in writing this research concerning e-books piracy in Indonesia. In this study, the author will also discuss the countermeasures taken by law enforcement officers regarding the hijacking issues of this electronic book with the title Juridical Analysis of Legal Protection for Electronic Books (E-book) according to the Copyright Law No. 28 of 2014. This thesis was written using the normative legal research with qualitative data.
