Bankruptcy is a very common thing within the world of business. Bankruptcy can happen in a multibillion-dollar company or in a small family business. Despite its habit that happen oftentimes, law-maker and lawyer with their extensive experience and profound knowledge are building a pathway to get through these problems by constructing new bankruptcy laws and being defendant for debtors and creditors with purpose to secure rights and obligations for any party taking part in the dispute. The author works as an intern at ARP & Co Law Office while having the case of PT. Baruna Shipping Line’s bankruptcy. Broad explanation about bankruptcy law and suspension of payments law applied on the case of the bankruptcy of PT.Baruna Shipping Line and the liquidation of the assets are generally more focused in this article.The purpose of making this Internship Report is to provide informations about stages occurring in bankruptcy cases and solving the debts of the debtors by using The Law of Bankruptcy and Suspension of Payments No. 37/ 2004 and how the curator settles all the debts of the debtors by doing liquidation of the Debtor’s assets with reference to The Regulations of Minister of Finance No. 27/PMK.06/2016.
