Abstract

Management today’s world is about management in times of rapid change. Organizations need employees who are committed in their work so that they can contribute to the survival of the organization in the marketplace competition. The emphasis is on how managers in organizations can get effective leadership style to achieve set goals. The study has examined the leadership style and their effect on employee performance. The need to develop better leadership styles is becoming increasingly important in all organizations. The purpose of this research is to ascertain if there is a relationship between the leadership styles and the employees’ performance. Meanwhile to determine the relationships between leadership styles and employees' job performance through the mediators: employees’ motivation, job’s satisfaction. There are three indicators that influence Leadership Style, which are Autocratic, Democratic and Laissez-faire. All these mentioned indicators cannot be treated individually because these indicators are connected and have relationship with each other. There are four factors that influence the Employee’s performance which are Target, Quality, Time, Obedient principle. This research is using a quantitative model by distributing questionnairesonline to as many as 50 respondents who are the employees of PT Bintang Anugrah Sehati, Jakarta by using census sampling method. This research provide suggestion about effective leadership style to improve employee’s performance and productivity for long-term company growth. The results of this research showed that democratic leadership style are affected the employee performance more than the other leadership style, and thereis a strong positive influence of leadership style on employee performances at PT Bintang Anugrah Sehati, Jakarta.
