Abstract

The purpose of this skripsi is to conduct a research on the impact of innovation on company performance. The research will give a benefit and idea for the company to improve. Innovation is considered to be one of the important factors for the growth of firms. Innovation is the most important component in a firm’s strategy. The objective of this study is to know the impacts of innovation on company performance at Percetakan Purnama Medan.the design used by the writer in this research are descriptive method and correlational method. Data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis methods used in this research include descriptive statistics, validity test, reliability test, normality test, coefficient of correlation, coefficient of determination, linear regression analysis and Z test Based on research results, the conclusion of this research is that innovation has impact towards company performance at Percetakan Purnama Medan. From Z test, it can be known that Zcount (13.21) > Ztable (1.96). The determination and coefficient correlation show that company performance (dependent variable) can be explained by innovation (independent variable) and has strong relationship. From determination test, it can be known that 92.4% of company performance at Percetakan Purnama Medan can be explained by innovation variable. From linear regression analysis, it can be known that company performance will increase by 1.526 if there is increasing value by 1 unit on innovation. The company can consider improving innovation so that customers can choose to use the company’s service again. As the conclusion, after the analysis and research on the company, it has been proven that innovation has impact towards company performance at Percetakan Purnama Medan
