Palm oil industry in Indonesia has a lot of good prospects in driving the economic growth and development. This industry expands even more due to government’s decision to use biofuel which consists of little palm oil as a substitute for fuels. The logistics sector in palm oil industry is as important as it involves coordination and good management. The purpose of this research is to find out the importance of motivation and how it may affect employees’ performance at PT. Trinity Palmtrans Indonesia, a logistics company which transport palm oil. The research is conducted by using interview and questionnaire to be analysed using quantitative approach. From the interview results, it can be concluded that PT. Trinity Palmtrans Indonesia implement specialized training and other extrinsic motivators such as employee gathering, and performance appraisal to improve the motivation of employees. The analysis uses simple regression to show if there is any influence of independent variable towards dependent variable which resulted in a positive influence of motivation towards employees’ performance at PT.
