As the world’s largest archipelago country, marine shipping has been a major transportation mode in Indonesia. Thus, there are stagnant or increase demands on the distribution services every year. As a new breed shipping company in Medan, CV. Permata Agung Mandiri has kept on developing and innovating to be able to offer efficient and most feasible solutions to its clients and customers by having ocean freight management and land transportation management. However, managerial capacity issues tend to arise within the organization that could hinder the organization to achieve consistent performance and sustain growth in the industry. The purpose of this research is to explore on how managerial capacity could bring impact to corporate sustainability and to ascertain on how CV. Permata Agung Mandiri could overcome the managerial capacity problems within the organization. Therefore, the result of this research has shown that personal experience or peers influence could involve in overcoming the managerial capacity problems besides training. Moreover, managerial capacity problems could also hinder the corporate growth and hence lower the corporate sustainability. Thus, the organization has deployed various indicators of managerial capacity to overcome and minimize the impact of managerial capacity problems and accomplish the organization sustainability. In addition, further research is also needed to explore and develop more management theories on how managerial capacity involvement towards the corporate sustainability. The result of this research could also act as the organization references to determine on its actions to minimize the impact of managerial capacity problems and hence to maintain the corporate sustainability.
