Abstract

Obesitas sampai saat ini masih menjadi perhatian masyarakat karena dapat menjadi faktor risiko dari penyakit tidak menular lainnya, salah satunya adalah hipertensi. Seperti obesitas, hipertensi juga masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat karena peningkatan tekanan darah seringkali tidak disertai dengan tanda dan gejala. Salah satu indikator obesitas adalah IMT, namun tidak dapat digunakan oleh orang-orang tertentu, seperti binaragawan, atlet, dan orang yang terlalu pendek. Oleh karena itu, diukur juga obesitas sentral yang memiliki risiko lebih tinggi untuk menyebabkan penyakit tidak menular lainnya daripada obesitas periferal. Indikator yang digunakan adalah RLPP. Tekanan sistolik dianggap dapat mengkategorikan 99% tekanan darah dengan benar. Faktor-faktor risiko obesitas dan hipertensi seperti pola makan, komposisi makanan, dan stres terdapat pada mahasiswa FK UPH. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan ada hubungan IMT dan RLPP terhadap tekanan darah sistolik pada mahasiswa atau usia 18-21 tahun./Obesity is still a public concern because it can be a risk factor for other non-communicable diseases, one of them is hypertension. Such as obesity, hypertension is also still a public health problem because increased blood pressure is often not accompanied by signs and symptoms. One indicator of obesity is BMI, but it cannot be used by certain people, such as body builder, athlete, and stunted person. Therefore, also measured central obesity which has a higher risk for causing other non-communicable diseases than peripheral obesity. The indicator used is WHR. Systolic pressure is considered to be able to classify around 99% of blood pressure correctly. The risk factors of obesity and hypertension, such as dietary habit, composition of food, and stress are found in UPH medical students. Several previous studies have shown a relationship between BMI and WHR on systolic blood pressure in college students or ages 18-21 years.
